On July 8 through 12, National Convenience Distributors headed down to Las Vegas, Nevada to attend the Premium Cigar Association Convention and International Trade Show — one of the largest shows in the premium tobacco industry.
The event, which offers both buying and selling opportunities as well as educational and networking experiences, is the only show of its kind that “puts all of its proceeds back into representing and advocating for its members,” according to the PCA.
“[It’s] always a great time connecting with customers, manufacturers and suppliers and enjoying some great premium cigars,” said NCD’s executive vice president of purchasing, Dennis Williams.
In addition to providing NCD a platform to showcase their premium cigar program to retailers from across the nation, participating in the PCA show connects NCD team members to other tobacco professionals and innovative products.
“I look forward to PCA every year because it offers brilliant learning and networking opportunities. It allows us to keep our finger on the pulse of the market and expose ourselves to new brands,” said John Reynolds, NCD’s category manager of premium cigars and other tobacco products. “This year I was able to sit in on the New York Tobacconist Association meeting where I learned about current legislation, grass roots efforts and tax relief. The more knowledge we gather, the more we can serve our customers effectively.”
